Gino Iannucci is that rare skater whose moves feel deliberate and tricks look like slow motion yet is always a hard hitter. He has built his reputation on clean lines, minimal flash, and maximum precision. As a Long Island native, Iannucci rose through era-defining parts and his POETS imprint, where a restrained, refined aesthetic is both style and identity. His creative sensibility fits naturally with ASICS Skateboarding. Iannucci formally joined ASICS Skateboarding in 2023. Since then, he has become one of the brand’s defining voices, helping shape its direction in skateboarding.

The Leggerezza FB draws inspiration from the ASICS Injector Arrezzo I soccer cleat, first released in 1989. That sport lineage is clear in the stitched toebox and paneled upper, now reconceptualized for skateboarding.
There is also Iannucci’s lifelong connection to ice hockey within the design. Waxed laces reference the feel of hockey skates, while side panels echo the overlays of hockey boots. Even the collector’s box carries that heritage, featuring a hand-drawn silhouette of Iannucci in a pushing stance as a tribute to vintage skate aesthetics and his personal story.
The Leggerezza FB is built for skateboarding but rooted in heritage style. The upper combines double-stitched leather with breathable mesh at the quarters and collar, balancing structure and airflow.
The padded tongue and sockliner soften impact. The semi-translucent sole references ASICS court shoes and is tuned for board control. Stitched construction ensures durability while also reflecting its archival influence. Waxed laces mirror hockey boot strings, and the vintage-inspired box completes the story with Iannucci’s sketch on the lid.
