Nike SB Pops Champagne With a New Dunk Low

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Champagne” lands this Friday with a colorway built around the look of a champagne bottle and an early celebration of the SB Dunk’s upcoming 25th anniversary.

Nike SB introduced the Dunk as part of its skateboarding line in 2002. Nearly 25 years later, the silhouette is still one of the most recognizable shoes in skateboarding, and the “Champagne” release marks the occasion with details pulled directly from the bottle.

Black Spruce, Gold, and Cork

The upper comes in Black Spruce coated suede with a glossy finish that resembles dark green champagne glass. The coating is designed to wear away over time and reveal the suede underneath, giving the shoe another layer once it starts getting skated.

Metallic Gold hits the Swoosh and heel, referencing the foil found around the top of a champagne bottle. Cork insoles continue the theme inside, while a lion-and-crown crest, gothic-style lettering, and French “Since 2002” text add more references to traditional champagne labels.

The usual SB details are still there underneath it all, including Air Zoom cushioning in the heel, a padded tongue, and padded collar for skating.

Celebrating the SB Dunk

The SB Dunk first arrived in 2002, and the “Champagne” colorway starts the celebration ahead of its 25th anniversary in 2027.

Rather than bringing back an old colorway, Nike SB built the release around the anniversary itself. Green, gold, cork, the crest, and the typography all connect back to the champagne theme while the original Dunk Low Pro shape stays intact.
