Bad Bunny and adidas started working together in 2021 with a reworked Forum Low, beginning a run that has moved through the Campus, Gazelle, Ballerina, and several other adidas shapes. In 2026, the partnership reached a different point with the BADBO 1.0, Bad Bunny’s first signature adidas shoe. The original version debuted during his Super Bowl LX halftime performance before releasing in additional colors throughout the year. The next BADBO release brings the shoe down into a low-cut shape with Chalk White, Grey Two, and Pink across the upper.
The BADBO Goes Low
The BADBO 1.0 Low keeps several details established on the original while changing the proportions of the shoe. The padded mid-cut collar is gone, the upper has been reworked around the lower profile, and a T-toe construction changes the front of the shoe. Thick rope laces, the tongue stitching detail, and the star at the heel carry over from the BADBO design.
Style LC5466 uses a leather and textile upper with Chalk White across much of the shoe, textured grey panels, darker mesh underneath, and soft pink around the tongue and heel. A rubber outsole finishes the build.
Puerto Rico in the Colorway
The Chalk White, Grey Two, and Pink palette takes inspiration from the coastline of Puerto Rico, where Bad Bunny was born and raised. adidas Originals described the colors as a reference to seashells beneath the sand along the island’s beaches.
That connection runs through the BADBO line. The star embroidered at the heel comes from the Puerto Rican flag, a detail adidas introduced on the original BADBO 1.0 as a reference to origin and staying connected to where Bad Bunny comes from.
The softer Chalk White and grey upper keeps most of the shoe neutral, while the pink tongue and heel details break up the palette and the blue star adds one more direct Puerto Rico reference.
A New Shape for Bad Bunny and adidas
For the first five years of the partnership, Bad Bunny primarily worked with existing adidas footwear, rebuilding models like the Forum and Gazelle around his own ideas. The BADBO changed that by giving him a signature silhouette developed specifically for the collaboration.
The Low continues that direction with a different profile and construction while keeping the BADBO name, heel star, rope laces, and layered upper that established the original earlier this year.
