Nike SB and legendary team rider, Nyjah Huston, are up to bat once again for the Nike SB Nyjah 4, Huston’s fourth signature model. Known for pushing heavy limits both on the board and with his past shoes, Nyjah’s fourth model brings new updates designed for serious skating, updated with a new cupsole design. Backed by years of input and real wear from one of the most dominant skaters ever in the game, the Nyjah 4 delivers a design built for control, impact, and speed. You probably won’t be skating heavy handrails like Nyjah, but you’ll get the support and tech that holds up when it counts.
Nyjah Huston started skating at a young age and turned pro before most kids got their driver’s license. Since then, he’s stacked one of the most impressive résumés in skateboarding—15 X Games gold medals, multiple Street League titles (including Super Crown wins in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2017, 2019, and 2024), and a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympics for Team USA in men’s street skateboarding. Along the way, he’s also picked up ESPY awards and became one of the highest-paid skateboarders in the world.
The Nyjah 4
Nike SB’s Nyjah 4 keeps its low-profile, skate-first roots while introducing upgrades from past models. The upper combines reinforced mesh with perforated HART (High Abrasion Rubber Tech) overlays for long-lasting durability and better flick control over time. Around the toe, a minimal rubber mudguard creates a smooth flick zone.
The cupsole construction includes a Zoom Air unit in the heel to absorb impact on big drops and gaps, while a TPU heel clip adds lateral stability for technical tricks. The Nyjah 4 drops the inner sleeve from the Nyjah 3 in favor of a traditional tongue and lace setup for a more classic fit and easier entry.
Underfoot, a new traction pattern replaces the Free-style outsole, offering improved grip and boardfeel with a semi-translucent HART rubber sole built for skate use.
Design-wise, branding is subtle: medium-size Swooshes flank the sides, a small embroidered swoosh sits on the toebox, and a “Nyjah” wordmark appears on the tongue pull tab.
