Casio and J Balvin link back up for a release that takes one of Casio’s strangest new formats and pushes it into jewelry territory. The CRW001JB-9 is a full digital Casio watch built into a ring, finished in gold and detailed through Balvin’s visual world.
The ring watch format stems from Casio’s CRW-001 series, created to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary of digital watches. Casio shrunk the digital watch layout into a ring while keeping actual watch functions inside: dual time, stopwatch, LED backlight, auto calendar, 12/24-hour format, and time flash alerts. The original CRW-001 introduced the format, and the J Balvin edition brings it into a louder gold finish.
The CRW001JB-9 uses a stainless steel case with gold ion plating. A brick pattern runs across the face and bezel, with rhinestone accents placed above and below the digital display. The screen keeps the classic Casio digital layout, with side buttons built into the ring for mode changes and controls.
The case back carries J Balvin’s flower motif engraved into the metal. The same gold direction carries through the packaging, with a dedicated ring box and cloth bag included.
Sizing is fixed at US ring size 10.5. Casio includes spacers for smaller sizes, so the fit can be adjusted down slightly.
The CRW001JB-9 keeps the function of a Casio digital watch and puts it into a format closer to jewelry. Gold ion plating, brick texture, rhinestones, flower engraving, LED backlight, stopwatch, dual time, and a fixed ring fit all sit inside one small piece.
