Pokémon started in Japan in 1996 with Pokémon Red and Green, built around a simple idea that ended up taking over everything: catch, train, trade, battle, repeat. What began as a Game Boy RPG grew into trading cards, anime, movies, toys, tournaments, mobile games, and a fanbase that now stretches across generations. The kids who started with Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu are adults now, and Pokémon is still moving with new games, new cards, new characters, and the same question that has followed the brand for 30 years: who is your favorite?
For Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, G-SHOCK built the GA110PKM-7A around that full timeline. The watch uses the oversized GA-110 case, then covers it in details pulled from the original 1996 games and the wider Pokémon world. The red, blue, and green accents on the hands, buttons, dial, and bezel point back to the first releases. The translucent bezel and band give the watch that clear, toy-like Pokémon feel while still sitting on one of G-SHOCK’s loudest case shapes.
The 9 o’clock inset dial is built like a Poké Ball, with a small indicator hand shaped like Pikachu from behind. The band carries 30 Pokémon illustrations across the strap, turning the watch into a full anniversary piece. Mew lands on the translucent band keeper, tying in one of the original games’ biggest mysteries.
Function-wise, the GA110PKM-7A carries the standard G-SHOCK loadout: shock resistance, 200-meter water resistance, world time, stopwatch, countdown timer, alarms, full auto-calendar, LED light, and the analog-digital GA-110 layout. The case is big, the dial is busy, and the Pokémon details are built into the watch from the strap to the inset dial.
Pokémon has moved through games, cards, TV, movies, tournaments, mobile apps, collecting, trading, and 30 years of people arguing over starters. The Pokémon x G-SHOCK GA110PKM-7A pulls from that whole world: red, blue, and green starter colors, Pikachu, Mew, Poké Ball details, and a band loaded with characters from across the franchise.

The in-store raffle starts today, Wednesday, July 15, and runs through Sunday, July 19. Come to the store and ask for a ticket! One entry per person.

The online raffle will open on Monday, July 20 at 2PM ET.
