Nike ACG is the newest addition to Drift House, introduced through the ACG Zegama Hike in Life Lime and Dark Smoke Grey. Short for All Conditions Gear, ACG is Nike’s outdoor line, focused on functional footwear, apparel, and equipment made for rough terrain and changing weather.
Built Outside
The roots of ACG trace back to a 1981 expedition on Mount St. Helens, where a group of Nike climbers tested lightweight running shoes on the mountain. They returned with damaged pairs and ideas for tougher outsoles, stronger uppers, and better protection without adding unnecessary weight. That trip helped shape Nike’s early outdoor footwear and the direction that would become All Conditions Gear.
ACG later formed around a clear purpose: make outdoor products that are technical, dependable, and tested in the environments they are built for. Each collection takes inspiration from landscapes around the world, using real conditions to guide decisions around traction, breathability, protection, and movement.
All Conditions Gear
ACG stands for All Conditions Gear. Nike describes the line as designed, tested, and made on Planet Earth for outdoor use. The brand’s current focus includes trail running, hiking, and exploration, supported by footwear, outerwear, fleece, trail apparel, bags, hats, and other outdoor equipment.
Bold color has always been part of ACG, but the function comes first. Technical fabrics, weather protection, ventilation, storage, cushioning, and traction all respond to the conditions found outside.
Introducing the ACG Zegama Hike
The ACG Zegama Hike is the first ACG style available at Drift House and a strong introduction to what the line is built around. The hiking shoe combines lightweight ZoomX cushioning with a firmer layer of foam for stability and impact protection. A Vibram MegaGrip outsole with Traction Lug technology handles uneven and changing terrain.
The breathable textile upper keeps the construction light, while the wider outsole creates a more stable base. A soft ankle cuff helps block trail debris, and the heel strap and extended eyestay provide a more secure, adjustable fit. The Life Lime, Dark Smoke Grey, and Barely Volt colorway brings ACG’s brighter side into a technical trail build.
